Evergreen was painted nearly 9 years ago, and it is a deeply personal piece. Painted while still in high school, I poured all my emotions of an uncertain future into this piece.

Created without brushes, I smeared and smudged acrylic paints on a piece of scrap paper, deciding to focus on colours of growth with a large pop of copper as a beacon of hope.
